I have decided to hang up my WoW Raiding hat as this game has gotten to boring. For that reason I have decided to drop my raiding status and just play this game when I feel like it. Probably won't log onto the game for a few weeks as I have a lot of work to do for both IBM as well as Saboten-Con and PCC'10. I will update more over the coming weeks on new programming for Saboten as well as guests that are getting confirmed for PCC.
I have also decided to push myself back into heavy lifting starting after my vacation back home. I have set goals that I want to attain over the summer in lifting and I will push myself to attain them.
I have been chosen again this year to be the programming director for Saboten. I'm excited to do more things this year, as I have more space and more break out rooms. I also am bringing back some amazing staff that helped me last year as well as at PCC'09. As we get guests and primary programming done I will post it here.
So, to entertain those who are interested, my guild is going to start streaming some of our RAIDs in warcraft. We are currently testing on the Public Test Realm (PTR) for the new patch that will be going live sometime. The views you will see are either from my screen (Kenpachiz-Hunter) or one of our rogues.
We will be RAIDing Ulduar on the PTRs on Tue,Wed,Thur, & Fri from 7:30PM EST to whenever. You will know if this is a live stream when you see the bottom left say LIVE.
You can see our live streams here: http://www.mogulus.com/furyofwar/
Miss Deep and I went to Anime Vegas over the weekend. We have never gone to it before so we were excited to see a new convention. We we got there I opened the programming guide and said "Huh, not a lot to go and see here". They did their programming very weird, almost counter productive to keeping the halls clear. It seems Anime Vegas is more of a home town con with meet and greets and just hang out and act like teenagers; not really my cup of tea. Anyway, we met up with NyuNyu, Itachi, and Rocket and hit the strip at night, that was the fun part. I have a pic of me and Itachi with our BIG drinks we carried around all night (Post later). Lost about $20 so no worries there, lol.
Anyway, over all the con was fun to see friends and be happy you are over 21 and can enjoy the nightlife there. As for going back to Anime Vegas in the future, probably not but who knows.
The Kilroys finished our season with a nice win to take us into the playoffs. I had 2 assists and 1 goal, so I figured into all the points... wohooo! Anyway, first playoff game is Tuesday 8/26 @ 9:50 vs Kachina. Can't wait to kick their sorry asses in the first round.
We played a very bad positional game tonight and everyone is kind of in cruise control until playoffs. In a way that is good as we are taking a small break prior to the playoffs, but then again we can't go into the playoffs and play the way we did tonight. I am just going to chalk tonight up to a bad night, as we have shown we can kick anyone's ass when we choose too. Also, I caught a slapshot right at the top of my left ankle in the 3rd period and boy did it hurt. My foot went completely numb as soon as it happened and I had to skate to the bench. I have ice on it right now and hope it doesn't swell too much. Oh well, the beer was cold after the game so all went well... hick!
Well, Buster (Our 13 year old cat) is still having constipation issues. We had to take him to the vet again this weekend for another round of enemas. I talked to the vet when I went to pickup Buster and talked through a new regime to try and keep him flowing (YUCK). We are now feeding him canned pumpkin three times a day, for the fiber, and mixing in some MiraLax to help with the constipation. Along with the food change we are going to start giving him subcutaneous fluids every 3 days to help him stay hydrated in the event that part of the issue is him getting dehydrated. Lastly we are starting to use the Lactulose again to help with his stool softness. God I feel like I am dealing with a senior citizen who sits at the table and talks about their bowel movements... Flashbacks to Thanksgivings of yore...
On Wednesday on my way to a team dinner with my IBM team I stopped to get a drink at the local Fry's grocery store. When I went to the checkout and used my Bank Debit card I got a polite response of "Your card was declined!" I was horrified as I have not heard that since my Military days when I got paid peanuts. I swiped the card again and she again politely said "Sorry, declined again". I pulled out another card and swiped it and it worked. I figured it was a glitch since I know how much I have in there and it ain't anywhere near $0, so I went to get gas and swiped the card and the words that came over the screen at the pump almost made me want to punch it "Please see the attendant", which in other words "Your poor fool you can't us that here!".
I immediately went to the nearest bank and walked up to the teller and asked them why my account was being declined. The lady looked at my account and said that it had been flagged for fraudulent usage and they froze my card to make sure nothing more was done. Sure enough after talking with the bank fraud department, there were about $150 worth of charges I didn't approve. First off, Kudos to Chase for catching this in only 1 day, it could have been MUCH worse. So now, I am using my personal business card to pay for stuff while a new card is issued and sent to me. Now I have to contest each one of these charges so I can get the fraudulent charges removed and credited back to my account.
To the subject of this post, I would love to have 5 minutes with the person or persons who stole my card number and tried to rob me blind. They wouldn't be walking or talking for a VERY LONG TIME!
I have been working feverishly to get Anime guests signed up for PCC'09 and I got my first 3 signed in the last week. Christophe Tang will be be coming to PCC for the first time and is very excited to not only show off his great cosplay panels, but to show off some sneak peaks at his new game he is helping develope. Also, Tiffany Grant and her husband Matt Greenfeild will be coming as well. Tiffany is best know for her voice actor role of Asuka in Neon Genesis Evangelion and Matt was one of the Co-founders of ADV Films.
